The latest offering from the team behind Founding Farmers and Farmers Fishers Bakers has something for everyone. Exciting and eclectic, Farmers & Distillers is heavily influenced by the surrounding neighborhoods and borrows its menu choices from the rich heritage of our Nation’s capital by incorporating an array of cultures and flavors, while still maintaining a level of balance suitable for all palates. The menu is both welcoming and relatable, with each recipe uniquely crafted.

Located in Mt. Vernon Square in the heart of Washington, DC, our team looked to neighboring Chinatown and developed a new and interesting take on made to order hand-pulled noodles, a flavorful Chinese flatbread called shaobing, spring rolls, and a farmer-style version of dumplings. Recalling the original German immigrants working on DC’s east side, Farmers & Distillers is serving crispy pork schnitzel, which is not at all what you may think. “Schnitzel,” which translates to cutlet, is a thin slice of pork, tenderized, lightly breaded, and fried, with an exciting hint of spice. It is both comforting and delicious. French bread pizzas are also on the menu, made with our house-baked thick pizza dough. Essentially, we have everything from sandwiches to caviar to some of the best desserts in the city.

Our Executive Pastry Chef, Amanda King, has delivered a whole host of new sweet treats for Farmers & Distillers, including the extravagant made to order donut ice cream sandwich (yes, seriously, can you believe that?), sweet corn cake with blueberry filling and cream cheese icing, served with the unusually delicious roasted corn ice cream, and chocolate chess pie with toasted marshmallow ice cream. Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth, it is hard to leave the restaurant without at least a taste.

We hope you will join us soon for a true taste of DC.
